Get more time to yourself by rising earlier
Getting up earlier can be a simple way to enjoy some quality time to yourself before the events of the day begin. Rising early has long been linked with increased productivity, wisdom and happiness, as the writings of great thinkers such as Aristotle and Benjamin Franklin testify. If you usually get your seven hours of sleep by going to bed at midnight and setting the alarm for 7am, why not aim to be tucked up by 10.30pm and rise at 5.30am instead?
This should give you at least 90 minutes of free time to do whatever you want before getting ready for work - perhaps going for a walk, completing an exercise routine or enjoying a few chapters of the book you are currently reading. It may take a few days for your body to get used to the new routine, but once you've adjusted you should find that the early morning activity leaves you feeling energetic and confident about the day ahead.
