Summer Apple Muesli

This makes a change from hot porridge in the summer, and you know it is full of goodness to start the day. If you prefer a fruitier flavour or do not eat dairy, you can use unsweetened apple juice instead of milk.

Ingredients

6 tbsp jumbo porridge oats
150ml skimmed milk
1 apple
2 dessert spoons sunflower or pumpkin seeds
3 tbsp Canderel granules
3 tbsp plain low fat yoghurt
a few strawberries, halved
extra Canderel granules

Step by step
Put the oats into a bowl and add the milk. Cover and set aside for 5-10 minutes. Can also be left to soak in the fridge overnight.
Grate the apple and stir into the soaked oats with the seeds and Canderel.
Divide between two bowls, add the yoghurt and halved strawberries then sprinkle with extra Canderel.
